You Never Know How Strong You Are Until Being Strong Is Your Only Option

Dear life, When I say that nothing can get worse it is just a question, not a challenge. You have a great ability to complicate my existence, admit it. Anyway, I appreciate it, your toughness has taught me not to give up. Thanks to you I have been able to show myself how strong I am. I would never have learned as much as in adversity. The more it hurt, the more fear I felt, the weaker I thought I was, the stronger it made me… Because being strong was my only option.

It seems that there are moments when everything turns around and rebels against you. That breaks you and there is something that screams of helplessness inside you. It seems that being strong is not a possibility. Everything collapses. Of course, it is difficult to rebuild yourself when it is the world that has failed you, when you feel alone or when you believe that nothing can be worse.

Then you begin to cradle yourself in your power of acceptance and change. Your well-being is within you and you only depend on a love that offers no resistance, self-love. You know that there is no point in continuing to pressure you and that life is worth it with its pluses and minuses.

And finally, you honor yourself. Because you know that overcoming is the key to your success, that the power of helplessness has not defeated you and that if your mind has resisted this, you will be able to with everything that is put in front of you. You can be strong. You are stronger than you think.

The story of the two frogs, an example of being strong

Once,  two frogs that fell into a bowl of cream and felt like they were sinking. It was difficult to swim or float for a long time in that thick mass like quicksand. At first, the two of them kicked the cream to get to the edge of the bowl and only managed to splash in the same spot and sink. It was getting harder and harder to surface and breathe. One of them said aloud:

-I can not anymore.  It is impossible to get out and, since I am going to die, I do not see why I prolong this pain. There is no point in dying exhausted by a sterile effort.

And with that said, she  stopped kicking and sank quickly, being literally swallowed up by the thick white liquid. The other frog, more resistant or perhaps more stubborn, said to himself:

–It is very difficult to advance in this thing, but  I will continue trying to see if I find the right way.  I will not give up, I will fight until my last breath, as long as it takes and as long as I can bear.

And he kept kicking and splashing always in the same place, without advancing an inch. Hours and hours. And suddenly, from so much kicking and shaking, shaking and kicking …  The cream turned into butter. The surprised frog jumped up and skidded to the edge of the container; from there, it croaked happily back home.

Do not give up, even if the cold burns …

Because life is yours and your desire is also yours, because you have wanted it and because I love you, because there is wine and love, it is true. Because there are not wounds that time can not heal.

Open the gates, remove the locks, abandon the walls that protected you, live life and accept the challenge. Recover your laughter, rehearse a song, lower your guard and spread your hands, spread your wings and try again, celebrate life and take back the skies.

Be strong. It does not matter what situation you are going through. Be strong. Everything passes, nothing is permanent, everything is temporary. There is no harm that one hundred years lasts, your life will improve. Do not get depressed, because you make your days what you want them to be.

Take advantage of them. Live them. Smile, overcome your fears. Cry if you have to, bring out what you have inside. But never decay, because in this life you will not have such a great burden that you cannot bear. Being strong is the last of your options. You are stronger than you think.
