Learn To Manage Your Fears

Learn to manage your fears

And who is not afraid in this life, not once, but many times?

Fear protects us against real dangers, but sometimes it paralyzes us in the face of other threats that we have created in our mind, that are within us and not outside, that we have built as great insurmountable walls that prevent us from realizing our dreams …

Who has not been afraid of the dark as a child? Do you remember when you saw your parents’ room at the back of the house in the dark? It always seemed bigger, darker, quieter and more mysterious than it really was.

Surely if we had entered that room at that moment, when we still had innocence glued to our feet, it would not have been so dark, not so big or so dark.

But just when we were about to put our first foot in that doorway, fear invaded us and we ran out to look for Mom. She always offered us the best solutions with her smile, which illuminated the darkest of rooms, with her kisses, with her hugs and with her words.

But as we get older, other fears, most of the time irrational, stalk and beat us, even preventing us from achieving many of our dreams and illusions.

The room we did not dare to enter is still there, in our head, bothering us like a heavy fly that does not stop hovering around our face, because that is the only thing it wants, to bother … Mom is gone, now we are the ones Adults, we are fathers, mothers, uncles or grandparents, but we still have our fears and it is legal to have them, as long as they do not overcome us …

The dark and mysterious room appears from time to time. But  how can we stop fearing that room and enter it without fear?

1- Be the one who decides that you want to end your fears. Make up your mind to free yourself from your fears. Maybe you have read this article written by a humble pen or maybe you have read a book, you have heard some news, you have been in a conversation that has changed your chic and that has made you reflect on your fears and then you have told yourself It’s over I want to end this stupid fear that bothers me every moment!

2- Talk about what you fear. Sometimes a simple conversation with someone who esteems us, loves us and understands us can be enough to put an end to some of our fears.

Trust your intuition and talk to someone you think can help you. Maybe you listen, but woman if the same thing happened to me, but as soon as I took the step I was happy a lot, try you will see !.

3- Read a self-help book . Books are great allies; in them we can find a thousand stories with which to feel identified; they are a good therapy that helps us to reflect.

4- Put on small tests. Sometimes, we cannot end a fear with a stroke of the pen. If the plane scares you… why don’t you start looking at it from the sidelines? Take your time.

5- Do not judge yourself as the worst tyrant. Do not judge yourself continuously, we all have fears and that is why we are not failures, we are useless. Do not allow an internal monologue to settle within you that judges you cruelly at every moment.

6- Celebrate your little achievements. If you are taking your little steps to overcome any of your fears. Celebrate it, give yourself a good kiss, yes, yes to yourself, dance, give yourself a little something and smile.

7- Do not pretend to be superman or superwoman. Everything little by little, do not be so hard on yourself, or pretend to be a superman or superwoman, neither before yourself nor before others, you are a human being of flesh and blood and yes, you do not know how to fly, nor do you have a wonderful red cape …

Finally, remember: you try to improve yourself as a person and that is precisely your greatness.
